Why does it always rain on me?

So after the Mooloolaba Foreshore Festival was cancelled, we had a last minute offer to play on Saturday night at Sublime Farm & Brewery (just past Gympie) We had a fantastic night. It was my birthday (48!), and as my lovely Mrs had organised to take me to the new Elvis film on the Sunday (it was excellent - go see it!) I had the all clear to play a last minute intimate gig to a handful of lovely people! The venue was great too, food was delicious, they do their own craft beer, roaring log fires & all that jazz. Well worth a trip!

After a fun 2 hour set, we were happy that we got to play meet some fantastic new people & hopefully won over a few new fans! We finished the night off at Bondy's place back on the Sunny Coast with a feed of chips, plenty of whiskeys and a lots of laughs into the early hours. Making music & memories with great mates... love it man!

So..... we have a couple of cool gigs coming up, Suncorp Stadium on Saturday 9th July for Australia vs England (we're playing at the entrance before the game, then watching the game over a few beers with the lads) Really looking forward to that! ........then it's Sat 23rd July at The Triffid.

This will be our biggest gig to date, we have built up a following of a mainly ex-pat audience who have been so supportive of the band since we started in 2019. We are so very grateful to all of you lot!! You bring it every time! Thank you!

The iconic venue (The Triffid) is an amazing spot to perform as a musician, it's (partially) owned by some of the Powderfinger guys. It holds 700ish, We have over 600 tickets sold so far, so fingers crossed we can sell it out, which will be a massive achievement for a local band! What a night it will be! We have ChamberLane & Owls Of Neptune opening up for us (both super talented Sunny Coast bands) So it's back to rehearsals now!, trying out different 90s Britpop songs to add to the setlist. We'll keep working hard, putting on the shows & having a feckin' ball while we're at it!

Big Love! Cool Britannia (Mick)
